This year we are going to have Christmas in the Summer where we will collect and box items for Operation Christmas Child! This will work just like our Operation Christmas Child Campaign we had last year, except we will be doing it this Summer. We will be collecting school supplies, toys, personal care items, and clothing items in the Welcome Center until August 25th. We will collect items in bulk and them pack items together as a church family on Sunday August 25th, following our worship service in the fellowship hall. We have a new meeting location! Please join us at 8am at the Fellowship Hall at FBC King on July 20th for breakfast, prayer, and discussion. Following breakfast, we will be working a service project in the community. Please join us for a time of worship, fellowship, and mission. Our vision is to Serve. Worship. Assemble. Train. Our Dave Ramsey Financial Peace course is designed to help class members to take control of their money, become better stewards of God’s resources, and learn the value and practices of budget planning, saving, giving, investing, and more. On Sunday, September 8th, our church family will have our worship service at Central Park in King. Following worship we will have a cookout, car show, and games for kids and families. Our vision is for this to be a day where we step out of the church building and into the community, inviting the community to join our church family for worship, fellowship, and fun! On July 14th following the worship service, we will have an opportunity for guests, new members, or recently returning members to learn more about FBC King. Representatives and staff from various ministries will provide information about our church as we will provide lunch for those in attendance. On Wednesday July 3rd, we will have a fellowship event from 6:00pm-8:00pm. We will have a hamburger and hotdog cookout, potato salad, baked beans, slaw, chips, dessert, and all the fixings. We will have a brief time of prayer and a message, followed by some family games outdoors. This is a church wide event; we hope to see everyone there. Please RSVP at the Welcome Center.
On, Sunday June 30th from 10:00-2:00pm, we have the opportunity to serve the homeless in Winston Salem at Samaritan Ministries. We will be serving lunch, assisting with food preparation, and clean up. VBS is just around the corner. Our theme this year is The Incredible Race : One Family, One Race, One Savior. VBS will be June 24 – 28 from 6:00 – 8:45 with a free dinner at 5:00 nightly. Our VBS is for Ages 4 – rising 6th grade. Please CLICK HERE to register.
Beginning April 17th, the Wednesday Night small group meeting in the fellowship hall, will be studying Ephesians. This group will utilize and video/discussion format in order to learn God’s truth and apply it into our lives. Please join us at 6:45pm-7:30pm in the fellowship hall on Wednesdays.
June 2nd will be Graduation Sunday and our High School and College Graduates will be recognized, celebrated, prayed for, and encouraged with a special message. If you are graduating this year, please send a photo and information about your graduation to Nathan Fletcher at email@example.com.
Each Saturday we will be serving our community by reaching out the YMCA families participating in the Soccer Season. On, Friday May 17th, we have the opportunity to serve the homeless in Winston Salem at Samaritan Ministries. This will begin Friday Evening and end Saturday Morning. If you are interested in this opportunity to serve the Lord and His people, please contact Bobby Ashworth at 336-972-8374.
On Mothers Day, May 12th, we will be celebrating moms and womanhood here at FBC King with a special gift for all ladies during worship service. We also will be having baby dedication on this Sunday as well. If you wish to participate the baby dedication, please contact the church office to register.
FBC King will be hosting a Baby Bottle Campaign for the Salem Pregnancy Center in Winston Salem. Salem Pregnancy Center is a pro-life organization that supports mother experiencing unplanned pregnancy by providing care, love, and biblical guidance. Funds donated directly helps the Salem Pregnancy Center in their ministry locally. Bottles are available at the Welcome Desk and will be collected on Mothers Day, 5/12/19.
On Sunday, May 5th at 3:00 the Daniel Plan small group will be hosting a nutritionist guest speaker, Cindy, Silver, owner of Market Basket Nutrition. Cindy is a registered dietitian with a master’s degree in Food Science and Nutrition and has nearly 20 years of experience in the grocery store industry. Cindy believes that simple food and home cooking are the core of a healthy and delicious life and she guides her clients to these goals, step by step and day by day. Cindy will be discussing Mediterranean Nutrition 101 with our group. She will also have her book for sale “The Oldways 4-week Mediterranean Menu Plan” for $10. FBC King and other local churches are partnering with the Stokes Family YMCA and are hosting a National Day of Prayer event on Thursday, May 2nd at 7:00pm. Please join us as a community in praying for our country, our state, our city, families, schools, and churches.
On Saturday, April 27th from 4:00pm – 8:00pm we will have the opportunity to engage the community through Meet Me on Main in King. We will help the Chamber of Commerce in selling waters and sodas as well as handing out some information about our church in our church tent. Join us in building relationships in our community! Beginning April 7th, we will begin a prayer emphasis for the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering and the North American Mission Board. On Easter Sunday, April 21st, you will have the opportunity to give to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering during the Worship Service. 100% of your contributions goes directly to missionaries right here in North America. Our goal this year is $11,000.

On Wednesday, April 10th, kids and their families will experience the true joy and excitement of Easter as they make their way through 7 hands on stations each designed to explore a different aspect of that first Easter morning! Odds are that your student has a social media account of some king. On March 27 we will be bringing Brian Jennings from First Baptist Church Woodstock to talk to you about it. We want to use this time educating you on the usage and dangers of social media for your student(s). If you’ve ever had questions about Social Media this is a great opportunity to learn and participate in meaningful discussion about what all is out there in terms of Social Media and what it means for your student. We want to provide you with a much information as possible to help lead you family in this area. We look forward to seeing you there.
We have a Small Group Studying a video based study “The Gospel of Mark” by Francis Chan.. In this 11-part series on the Gospel of Mark, author and speaker Francis Chan invites us to walk with him, tracing the steps of Jesus and the Twelve through Israel, Francis explores the major themes of the Gospel of Mark, and asks: Are we willing to take this journey to embrace discipleship? We will be meeting in the Fellowship Hall at 6:45 on Wednesday Nights.

PRAY As a church we encourage you to join us in praying for those effected by the storm and that the comfort and presence of the Lord to be with them during this difficult time.
GIVE We will be collecting an offering for the next few weeks that will be given to the North Carolina Baptists on Mission and 100% of our donations will be given to the Hurricane Florence Relief effort. If you would like to give please designate your gift "Hurricane Florence".
GO We are sending a group of teens and adults on February 28th - March 2nd to do relief work in Lumberton, NC. If you are interested in going, please contact John Michael at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible.
The Missions Team is providing a meal for the SECU Family House in Winston Salem on February 21 from 5:30pm-7:30pm. We are planning to make soups, salad, and dessert. Also we will provide drinks. If you are interested please call the church office at 336-983-5252.
The Stokes Homeless Outreach will be doing the annual count and outreach to the homeless community in our area on January 30th. FBC King will be assisting from 8:00pm – 11:30pm.
