Minister of Music

Daniel has led the worship ministries of FBC since 2018. A native of Hickory, NC, he is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a B.M. (Bachelor of Music) in Sacred Music. He studied biblical languages at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and continues his education through The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville Kentucky. Daniel has a passion for hymns, both ancient and modern and is committed to convergent, multigenerational worship. He is husband to Joy, and together they homeschool their six children, Elisabeth, Anna, Mary, Samuel, Faith, and Eden. Daniel currently serves on the Committee for Convention Planning, for the NC Baptist State Convention, and manages the worship blog, authenticworship.org.
