Thank you for stopping by to check out First Baptist Church in King. Please allow us to answer some FAQ’s.
Here is a list of the most frequently asked questions about First Baptist.
When are your services?
Our Worship Service meets in the Worship Center at 10:30am. Our Worship Service blends styles of music together featuring our Worship Choir and Praise Team. We recommend you arrive approximately 20 minutes before the service so you won’t feel rushed and have time to visit.
We also have Sunday Evening activities and groups, which meet on and off campus. On Wednesday evenings, various adult, student, and children’s ministry programs are in place. For more, check out all of our service times.
What is a Sunday service like?
Our Worship service is designed to help people right where they are. We sing relevant songs (a blend of old and new) that encourage wholehearted worship. Inspiring Bible-based messages help you learn more about God in a practical way, whether you’re still searching for a relationship with God or to know Him well.

What can I expect on my first visit?
From the moment you pull into the parking lot, you’ll be made to feel at home. Our terrific parking volunteers will direct you as you enter the campus. Then, our amazing greeting team will be ready to help in any way possible; give directions or answer any questions you may have. If you have children, you can check them in and then be personally escorted with them to their room. As you enter the main entrance, you will immediately see our Welcome Center, where our friendly greeters will welcome you.
What about my children?
At First Baptist King the children laugh, play, and enjoy an environment where they are loved by teachers and leaders who model God’s character. Toddlers and preschoolers experience kid-appropriate teaching and activities. You can enjoy the weekend service knowing that your children will have a wonderful experience.
Children have a fun and exciting time where everyone learns about God. Each child is energetically welcomed and loved. When teaching children, we follow two important principles. First, we know kids would rather participate than watch. Second, when learning is fun and age-relevant, children will naturally apply God’s principles to their lives. What does your church believe?
FBC believes the Bible is God’s clear message to us; we can trust it to find answers for our life. For greater detail concerning our beliefs, click on What We Believe.
Will I have to say something, sign a form, or be asked to give?
While an offering will be received, we do not expect our guests to finance the ongoing ministries of the church body. You won’t have to wear a name badge, stand up, or be singled out in any way. Check us out for as long as you like to see what’s going on around First Baptist King. When you would like more information or would like to become a part of FBC, fill our “Welcome to the Friendly Place” card in the service and we will get information to you.
How can I get involved in a ministry at First Baptist King?
Getting “plugged in” is an element of developing a sense of belonging in a church fellowship. Volunteers may consider their own giftedness and the needs of the body, and then decide what they would like to do. Contact the main office by phone: 336-983-5252 or by email to get moving in the right direction. Let us know where you would like to get involved and give us your contact information, and we’ll get back to you quickly.
